The Bulletin & Record magazine is to be re-launched early next year as the B&R Online, following protracted talks between the magazine’s proprietors, Original Publishers Limited (OPL) and MakanDay Centre for Investigative Journalism.

The Bulletin & Record print magazine was until its 2016 closure, Zambia’s premier monthly periodical.

The decision to re-launch it as the B&R Online has been made possible by OPL’s agreement for MakanDay’s acquisition of rights to the former Bulletin & Record print magazine.

The agreement shall see the return of the magazine as an on-line publication via MakanDays publishing platform at www.makanday.com.

Specific details of the new partnership are yet to be finalized, but according to MakanDays John Mukela, the deal will enable use of the B&R’s masthead and selected material from the B&R’s archives.

“This is an exciting development which will add depth and weight to MakanDay’s portfolio of content. The B&R was a trailblazing quality publication. Acquiring the rights to such a leading journal of investigation and analysis will provide continuity,” Mukela said in Lusaka.
